Janakpur (Birthplace of Sita) via Kathmandu

Janakpur, the birthplace of Janaki or Sita, the consort of Lord Ram, is an important religious pilgrimage site in the Terai plains, in south central Nepal. Ram Janaki Mandir, Bibaha mandap and ponds are the main attraction of Janakpur. To reach Janakpur either you have to take flight or drive. As by driving it takes approx 9 hours from kathmandu.

Itinerary

Day 1: Pickup from your hotel – Drive to janakpur. Upon reaching, transfer to the hotel. Evening visit Ram Janaki temple and Bihawa Mandap. Overnight at Janakpur.( approx 9 hrs )

Day 2: Next day – back to Kathmandu.
